#1 Rent a book from the NY Public Library

So just as any other young-ins that move to New York City, Gigi and I wanted to have our own NYC bucket list!  Gigi and I met working together in the marketing department at a company in midtown NYC.  Marketing, that's right we can be pretty creative and clever so you have to assume this bucket list is gonna be awesome!

Bryant Park
After months of careful planning, 37 goals and counting, point system for prizes incorporated!.. Gigi and I completed our first bucket list outing.  After a rough week at work and it only being Wednesday night, Gigi and I went shopping for Papa Gee's (Gigi's dad) birthday present.  The plan was to go to best buy and then eat cupcakes, naturally.  We decided the goal of the night was to plan two dates to complete bucket list activities since we hadn't done one thing on our list and it had been a whole month since we started (you can imagine this blog might go on for a while).. With the birthday present and cupcakes in hand, we headed to Bryant Park to discuss our bucket list goals.

Strategically, we planned a few dates where we can do outdoor activities while the weather is still decent.  Then, while looking up at the New York Public Library, Gigi had the brilliant idea to complete the first bucket list activity that very night!  On we went into the NY Public library to rent our first book!  After getting kicked out once, almost twice, a funny comment to a fellow guest that "we are looking for the books", we found the place to order our library cards.  After crossing the street to the mid-Manhattan library, we started the hour-long search to find the perfect library books for us.  With some clever and helpful suggestions from Mrs. Chwaz (Gigi's Mom), we accomplished our first bucket list goal!

  1. How exciting -the bucket list - not the rat. I think it is a great idea. You have inspired me to think of my own! The cup cakes look delicious. We also love Bryant park. I think we will come down today!
